Antoine Perdaens Founding partner – Belgium / USA

Antoine has a strong technical background with a Master’s degree in Engineering and Computer Science from the Catholic University of Louvain (UCL) with specialization in Networking.
Prior to graduation, he was already involved in entrepreneurial activities where he developed expertise in search technologies and it was with the startup, Web-diggers, that he further broadened his expertise by designing workflows for knowledge workers. This experience inspired his final thesis which proposed a platform concept for knowledge workers, forming the basis of the product to be developed by Whatever Company, the company he founded with Olivier Verbeke. He was instrumental in attracting talents from his peer group at UCL to join Whatever and drive the development program. He further honed his entrepreneurial skills with a six month intensive course at the prestigious Stockholm School of Entrepreneurship (SSES), where he enhanced his growing leadership and communication skills. His blend of skills was also effective in training experienced IT specialists in Web 2.0 technologies and enhanced methodologies for Web searching, an experience that endowed him with a strong understanding of clients’ needs and the ability to translate them into technical solutions.
Antoine is also a leading activist amongst Belgian Web entrepreneurs and in the summer of 2010 organised a “webmission” to California for 32 participants to promote Belgian talents, meet and share ideas with successful entrepreneurs from the "Valley” including Facebook, Twitter, Microsoft, Google and Stanford University. The Minister-President of Wallonia Rudy Demotte also participated in the promotional visit.
